Starting this week we will take a  closer look at numbers.  

Today we did a little lesson and read "zero is the leaves on the tree" by Betsy Franco

I asked the class What does zero mean?

Abby: Zero is when you're born and you're not one yet."

Ellery: "I have zero ipads!"

Austin: "zero is stretchier than "O".

Margot: "(letter) "O" is like a zero, it looks like zero."

Ellery: "Zero is an oval."

The book gave us examples of what zero was. Can you think of another one?
